ting drought that has been experienced in Isiolo and other parts of the country.

The move was the company’s response to the persistent drought that has affected the area and its environs. Isiolo has a population of about 150,000 and about 40% are affected by the drought.

The donation which is part of Corporate Social Responsibility by Tecno  and is set to benefit 425 households. The donation is expected to last the community about a month. The residents also received water tanks.

During the donation event that was held in Samburu East area women were issued with sanitary kits containing sanitary pads, soap and lotion.
Mr Ray Hou, TECNO Kenya Marketing Manager said the campaign was a result of the sales made from the recently launched Camon CX and CX Air. Mr Hou noted: “This has been made possible by Kenyans who buy Camon CX or CX Air mobile phones. For every Camon CX or CX Air that is bought, $1 goes to ActionAid to support those affected by drought.”
The marketing manager addded that the company was targeting up to Sh6 in terms of donations within the next one month.
