Non-profit organizations dedicated to tackling hunger and food insecurity across Africa are invited to apply for the Women for Zero Hunger program, an initiative to support sustainable, women-led solutions to food insecurity on the continent. The program is an initiative by Stop Hunger, in collaboration with WIA Philanthropy whose core mission is to empower women and girls in the fight against hunger.
The program seeks applicants whose work revolves around improving agricultural techniques, creating sustainable food systems, and advocating for policies that strengthen women’s rights and access to essential resources.
The program will select organizations based on their ability to reach a significant number of beneficiaries, the quality and effectiveness of their solution, and their potential for scaling impact.
Three organizations will be selected to receive €10,000 each in funding to help scale their efforts. In addition to financial support, these organizations will participate in a six-month personalized mentoring program designed to enhance their impact, refine their strategies, and overcome unique challenges.
After the program, an international jury will select one organization to receive the Stop Hunger Trophy during the annual Stop Hunger event in Paris. The winning organization will also benefit from a crowdfunding campaign at the event, which will help expand its reach and increase its impact.
