Non-profit organizations dedicated to tackling hunger and food insecurity across Africa are invited to apply for the Women for Zero Hunger program, an initiative to support sustainable, women-led solutions to food insecurity on the continent. The program is an initiative by Stop Hunger, in collaboration with WIA Philanthropy whose core mission is to empower women and girls in the fight against hunger.
The program seeks applicants whose work revolves around improving agricultural techniques, creating sustainable food systems, and advocating for policies that strengthen women’s rights and access to essential resources.
The program will select organizations based on their ability to reach a significant number of beneficiaries, the quality and effectiveness of their solution, and their potential for scaling impact.
Three organizations will be selected to receive €10,000 each in funding to help scale their efforts. In addition to financial support, these organizations will participate in a six-month personalized mentoring program designed to enhance their impact, refine their strategies, and overcome unique challenges.
After the program, an international jury will select one organization to receive the Stop Hunger Trophy during the annual Stop Hunger event in Paris. The winning organization will also benefit from a crowdfunding campaign at the event, which will help expand its reach and increase its impact.
Which policy and criteria are you going to choose among the beneficiary.
Regard to this hunger free for women or women for zero hunger i my as the executive Director of Almagda Community Development initiative one of the civil society non profit organisation that that was best in the northeastern part of the country Nigeria one of the effected area in nigeria with conflict that mostly affected women and children having this challenge for the women with hunger, my thought is the women should be empowered after giving them the food support then they should be also train with skills of different aspects that may help them tackle some present and the for challenges, such as tailoring, pomade making, bakery and other things that can give immediate support.so with this the women can be easy fight these challenges and become Zero hunger.
The vulnerable members of our communities are Women and Girls. Time without number they are subjected to societal ills from their male counterparts and the society itself.
Empowering a Woman is empowering the community.
Widows, single ladies, married women and girls deserve the best and now is the time. What a man can do, a woman can do it best then let’s invest in the best. LET OUR MOTHERS,SISTERS AND DAUGHTERS BE EMPOWERED, AMEN.
