
The African Philanthropy Forum (APF) is seeking dynamic professionals to join its team in Lagos for two key positions: Communications Manager and Partnership & Membership Manager. These roles are integral to advancing APF’s mission of promoting shared prosperity across Africa through strategic philanthropy, partnerships, and community engagement.
Communications Manager
The Communications Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing APF’s communications strategy. This includes managing media relations, overseeing social media platforms, curating digital content, and executing high-profile events that align with APF’s goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive communication plans.
- Manage APF’s website and digital content across various platforms.
- Build and sustain media relationships to boost APF’s visibility.
- Curate and oversee content for newsletters, blogs, and publications.
- Monitor media coverage and provide performance analytics.
Qualifications and Skills:
- A Master’s degree in social sciences or related fields.
- 3-5 years of experience in communications, public relations, or marketing, ideally in the nonprofit or philanthropy sectors.
- Strong skills in writing, editing, and storytelling.
- Expertise in digital platforms, analytics tools, and event coordination.
Partnership & Membership Manager
The Partnership & Membership Manager will lead APF’s efforts to grow strategic partnerships and expand its membership base, ensuring the sustainability of its initiatives. This position requires an individual with exceptional leadership skills, a track record of successful partnerships, and the ability to drive fundraising initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategies to drive partnership and membership growth.
- Cultivate relationships with NGOs, governments, and corporate partners.
- Lead fundraising campaigns and manage donor relationships.
- Organize impactful events and conferences to further APF’s mission.
- Align partnership and membership efforts with APF’s strategic goals.
Qualifications and Skills:
- 7-10 years of experience in partnership development, stakeholder management, or donor relations.
- Proven success in building high-value partnerships and leading membership programs.
- Strong leadership, networking, and fundraising capabilities.
- Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills.
