With 1 in 4 older adults and 15% of adolescents worldwide experiencing loneliness, the need for stronger social connections has never been greater.

In response to this growing concern, Pernod Ricard is marking its 50th anniversary by supporting young leaders fostering inclusivity, mental well-being, and community engagement.

As part of this commitment, Pernod Ricard, in collaboration with One Young World, has opened applications for the 2025 WE Award.

This initiative will recognize five outstanding young changemakers and provide them with the opportunity to attend the One Young World Summit 2025, taking place from 2 to 6 November in Munich, Germany.

One Young World Summit 2025

The One Young World Summit 2025 will convene over 1,000 young leaders from 150 countries to tackle some of the world’s most urgent challenges. Through an extensive Global Consultation Process (GCP), five critical issues have been identified to shape discussions at the summit.

The Five Plenary Challenges for 2025 discussions include;

The Circular Economy – How can we accelerate the shift to circular systems to tackle the Climate Crisis?

Anti-Hate – What actions are needed to combat hate in society?

Responsible Tech – How can we responsibly use AI and other new technologies?

Education – How can we accelerate and expand access to education for all?

Peace and Security – How can young leaders drive global cooperation for a safer world?

Who Can Apply for the WE Award?

Applications are open to all nationalities.

Applicant must be a young leader aged 18 and above.

Applicant must demonstrate leadership and measurable impact in at least one of the following areas:

· Advocating for social connection and tackling loneliness.

· Developing and enhancing social infrastructure, such as community spaces, services, and networks.

· Creating positive social environments, including responsible drinking initiatives.

· Leading mental well-being programs at the community level.

What winners receive:
