In response to the rapidly changing global and national landscape—marked by shifting funding priorities, fiscal constraints, and rising inequality—there is a growing need for new approaches to sustainable development. The Kenya Philanthropy Forum, in collaboration with the East Africa Philanthropy Network (EAPN), Kenya Community Development Foundation, and Development Dynamics, will convene a National Multi-Stakeholder Partnerships Dialogue on April 2, 2025.
Under the theme “Reimagining Kenya’s Development Ecosystem: A People-Powered Public-Private-Philanthropy Pathway,” the dialogue aims to explore innovative pathways to reimagining Kenya’s development ecosystem, with a focus on public-private-philanthropy collaboration.
The event will bring together key stakeholders from government, the private sector, philanthropy, civil society, and international institutions to discuss shared governance, innovative finance, and community-led development. The core goal is to develop strategies that will strengthen Kenya’s development framework, focusing on integrating these sectors for a more resilient and sustainable future.

The framework will be introduced to guide future efforts in strengthening the development ecosystem, ensuring that all stakeholders are aligned in their approach to sustainable development.
Why This Dialogue Matters
This event is a timely opportunity to rethink how development is coordinated, financed, and delivered in Kenya. As the country navigates changing global dynamics, it is crucial to build a more integrated and resilient development ecosystem. This requires creating a space for open dialogue, sharing knowledge and resources, and fostering trust between key sectors.
Through collaboration and innovative thinking, Kenya can create a development ecosystem that not only addresses today’s challenges but also prepares the nation for a sustainable future in 2025 and beyond.
The dialogue will provide an opportunity for a wide range of actors to engage, collaborate, and share insights, ensuring that the development ecosystem in Kenya is inclusive and reflective of the diverse perspectives of all stakeholders involved.
