Launched by the Jack Ma Foundation in 2019, ABH was created as part of the foundation’s commitment to supporting African entrepreneurs and fostering a vibrant business ecosystem. The Top 10 finalists will share a $1.5 million grant pool:
- Winner: $300,000
- 1st Runner-Up: $250,000
- 2nd Runner-Up: $150,000
- Other Seven Finalists: $100,000 each
- An additional $100,000 is allocated for global immersion training.

Who Can Apply?
- ABH welcomes applications from entrepreneurs across all African countries, industries, and age groups. Eligibility criteria:
- Must be the founder or co-founder of the business
- The business must be formally registered
- Business headquartered in Africa
- Must have been in operation for at least three years
