The Paris Peace Forum has officially launched its 2025 Call for Solutions, inviting organizations worldwide to submit projects that offer tangible responses to some of the world’s most urgent and complex issues. The call for submissions is open until 1 June 2025, with successful projects set to be showcased at the Forum’s eighth edition taking place in Paris on 29–30 October 2025.
Now in its eighth year, the Paris Peace Forum has established itself as a high-level convening space for multi-stakeholder cooperation, bringing together public, private, and civil society actors under one roof. Through its flagship Solutions Hub, the Forum has supported more than 560 projects and over 2,000 project leaders from around the globe since 2018. These initiatives have ranged from climate action and peacebuilding to digital innovation and inclusive development, all with a strong emphasis on practical implementation and international cooperation.
Focus on Innovation and Impact
This year’s call prioritizes projects that align with one or more of seven thematic areas, each chosen to reflect key global policy challenges and opportunities for collaborative action:
- Harnessing Nature-Based Solutions for Climate Resilience
- Fostering Green Transitions, Access to Energy, and Critical Minerals
- Reinforcing Local Peacebuilding
- Leveraging Artificial Intelligence for Cyber Peace and Stability
- Broadening Access to Sustainable Agricultural Practices
- Investing in Children as a Catalyst for Development
- Driving Digital Public Infrastructure and AI Impact for the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
Selected projects will be featured in the Forum’s Space for Solutions, where participants will have the opportunity to present their work during official sessions, engage with a global network of experts and decision-makers, and benefit from international visibility. In addition, they may be eligible to join the Forum’s Scale-up Program — a one-year initiative offering tailored mentorship and capacity-building support designed to expand the impact and sustainability of promising solutions.
Selection Criteria: Advancing Action, Not Ideas
The Forum is seeking submissions that go beyond theoretical frameworks or early-stage concepts. To be considered, projects must meet seven key eligibility criteria:
- Submissions must be made by an organization, not an individual.
- At least two representatives must commit to full participation in the Forum from 29–30 October 2025.
- Projects must be aligned with at least one of the 2025 priority themes.
- Proposals should be at least in the pilot phase, with some level of implementation underway.
- The initiative must involve a specific and tangible action, excluding academic research, abstract ideas, or general institutional mandates.
- Submissions should not be aimed at securing funding from the Forum.
- Projects must possess an international dimension, either through cross-border collaboration or the potential for global application.
Once screened for eligibility, submissions will be assessed by the Forum’s Selection Committee based on several criteria:
- Overall quality,
- feasibility,
- impact,
- coherence,
- global relevance, and alignment with the Forum’s values.
- The Committee will also consider geographic, functional, and thematic diversity, seeking to ensure broad representation across regions and sectors.
Virtual Information Sessions
To assist potential applicants, the Forum will hold two online information sessions in May:
- 7 May 2025, 15:00–16:00 CET
- 28 May 2025, 16:00–17:00 CET
These sessions will provide further details on the application process, eligibility, and benefits for selected projects.
A Platform for Global Cooperation
Since its inception, the Paris Peace Forum has aimed to bridge the gap between grassroots solutions and high-level policy by providing a stage where local, national, and international actors can come together to scale their impact. Past participants have included governments, international organizations, philanthropic foundations, academic institutions, and social enterprises.
By spotlighting concrete initiatives with proven or promising outcomes, the Forum emphasizes practical innovation and cross-border collaboration as essential tools for addressing global governance issues.
