CorpsAfrica’s journey began in 2011, conceived by Liz Fanning, a former Peace Corps Volunteer (Morocco 1993-95).

However, such opportunities were largely inaccessible to them. This crucial insight fueled Fanning’s determination to establish a platform that allowed young Africans to become the primary agents of change in their own countries.
Her vision was clear: to create an organization built on the fundamental belief that young Africans are the true catalysts for growth and positive transformation across the continent.
The first program officially launched in Morocco in 2013, marking the inception of CorpsAfrica’s impactful work.
Since then, the organization has expanded significantly, now operating in 11 countries across Africa. These nations include Morocco, Senegal, Malawi, Rwanda, Ghana, Kenya, Ethiopia, South Africa, Côte d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), The Gambia, and Uganda.
