As Nigeria prepares for its inaugural Giving Festival on December 2, organizations across sectors are gearing up for a national moment dedicated to generosity, community unity, and collective impact.
To guide this preparation, the Giving Festival team will host a virtual Pre-Festival Summit on Tuesday, November 25, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM WAT on Microsoft Teams.
This session is one of the most important opportunities for nonprofits, companies, community groups, and individuals to gain clarity on how to participate meaningfully.
The Giving Festival builds on the momentum of GivingTuesday, the global day dedicated to generosity, volunteering, and acts of kindness.
While GivingTuesday is observed worldwide, the Giving Festival extends the idea into a uniquely Nigerian celebration, one that highlights community-driven generosity and cultural expressions of giving that already flourish across the country.
What to Expect at the Pre-Festival Summit
Participants can look forward to:
- A full walkthrough of the Giving Festival and what will take place nationwide on December 2.
- Guidance for NGOs, companies, and community groups on meaningful and effective participation.
- A practical session on planning, fundraising, and communication strategies for GivingTuesday.
- A Q&A session to address questions on partnerships, logistics, and community engagement.
