Beast Philanthropy, the charitable organization founded by Jimmy Donaldson, known globally as MrBeast, and The Rockefeller Foundation have announced a strategic partnership aimed at learning from one another and advancing support for vulnerable communities.
The collaboration brings together Beast Philanthropy’s next-generation storytelling expertise and The Rockefeller Foundation’s 112-year history of improving lives through initiatives in food security, healthcare, electricity, and employment.
This marks the first strategic partnership for Beast Philanthropy, which has a proven record in high-impact relief efforts across food insecurity, education, and housing support, and in mobilizing audiences for successful calls to action.
Today, nearly 4 billion people globally belong to Generations Z (ages 13–28) and Alpha (ages 1–13), representing almost half of humanity.
Many spend 7 to 9 hours per day on screens, often passively consuming content.
Research indicates that young people place high trust in creators like MrBeast over governments, brands, and institutions.
A 2023 Morning Consult survey highlighted this trend, while a 2024 Deloitte survey showed that nearly nine in 10 Gen Zers and millennials consider purpose crucial to their job satisfaction, often rejecting opportunities that do not align with their values.
This partnership seeks to meet young people where they are online and channel their desire for purpose into meaningful global action.
“Content has the power to inspire kindness. Joining forces with such a respected and philanthropic powerhouse like The Rockefeller Foundation will help us reach even more people to take action and use creativity as a force for good,” said Jimmy Donaldson, Founder of Beast Philanthropy.
The partnership aims to transform philanthropy from a distant act into a shared movement, demonstrating that kindness can go viral and inspire tangible action.
Beast Philanthropy and The Rockefeller Foundation plan to leverage storytelling strategies and content from their programs to make charitable giving more accessible and actionable.
The collaboration will begin with a trip to Ghana in the first quarter of next year, during which teams from both organizations will exchange insights on development, community-led change, and global storytelling.
Over time, a series of shared initiatives will further their respective missions.
“Jimmy and the Beast Philanthropy team have shown a singular capacity to connect with people around the world. At a disruptive and divisive time, this unlikely partnership has the power to make big things possible by inspiring more and more people, especially young people, to want to make change in our communities, countries, and the wider world,” said Dr. Rajiv J. Shah, President of The Rockefeller Foundation.
The collaboration will allow the Foundation to advance its initiatives through Beast Philanthropy’s storytelling and amplification capabilities while engaging the next generation of global changemakers.
In its relatively short history, Beast Philanthropy has provided millions of meals to families facing food insecurity in the U.S., built homes and schools across Africa and Latin America, and launched efforts to eradicate child labor in the cocoa industry, starting in Ghana.
In 2025, the #TeamWater initiative with WaterAid raised $40 million to bring clean water to 2 million people worldwide.
Meanwhile, over the last five years, The Rockefeller Foundation has invested more than a billion dollars in programs to connect a billion people to electricity, ensure universal access to regenerative, nutritious school meals, respond to emerging health threats, and create job opportunities where they are needed most.
The Foundation has also launched Big Bets Fellowships across Latin America, the Caribbean, Asia-Pacific, and the U.S., connecting and training emerging leaders to strengthen their communities.
By combining Beast Philanthropy’s innovative storytelling with The Rockefeller Foundation’s decades of experience, the partnership seeks to inspire a new generation of global citizens to turn engagement into action, showing that generosity and creativity together can achieve lasting impact.
