Kenya is set to host the World Chambers Federation (WCF) Africa Summit 2025, a global event set to take place from April 9-11, 2025, at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi.
The announcement was made by Dr. Erick Rutto, President of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KNCCI), during a press briefing that featured key leaders from the business and trade sectors.
Dr. Rutto stressed that the summit marks a defining moment for Africa to assert its leadership in global trade. He pointed to the potential of deeper integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA), which could boost African trade by $150 billion annually by 2030. “Let’s strengthen collaboration for innovation and trade efficiency,” Dr. Rutto said.
The WCF Africa Summit will bring together over 4,500 delegates, 350 exhibitors, and influential leaders who are shaping the future of trade, investment, and sustainability in Africa. The summit will focus on boosting trade, promoting sustainable practices, empowering youth and women, supporting micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), and driving innovation to address local challenges.

Themed “Africa’s Global Future: Integrated, Innovative, and Sustainable, the Summit will serve as a platform for global business leaders to explore opportunities for collaboration and investment on the continent. With its focus on trade, innovation, sustainability, and regional integration, the summit will play a key role in positioning Africa as a global hub for trade and investment.
Kiprono Kittony, EBS, NSE Chair, and former Vice President of WCF, emphasized that the summit will provide a unique opportunity to position Kenya and Africa as leading destinations for business and investment. He encouraged local businesses to join KNCCI to benefit from the chamber’s resources and networks.
Ahmed Farah, HSC, CEO of KNCCI, extended an invitation to global investors and entrepreneurs to engage with African markets at the summit. He encouraged them to seize the opportunity to connect directly with local businesses and be part of Africa’s transformative journey toward economic growth.
