The Doc Society Climate Story Fund is now accepting applications for its 2025 cycle, offering up to US$125,000 per project to support powerful storytelling that explores climate action and its potential to create a more equitable, resilient, and abundant future.
Open to applicants worldwide, the fund seeks compelling stories that challenge traditional narratives, spark engagement, and reach audiences through diverse perspectives and genres.
A key focus of the fund is on projects created by and about underrepresented communities, emphasizing the intersectionality of climate issues and social justice.
By amplifying voices from different backgrounds, the fund aims to drive meaningful conversations and actions around climate change.
These narratives should resonate on a deeply emotional level, reflecting a collective interest in communities, environments, and future generations.
Since its launch in 2021, the Doc Society Climate Story Fund has awarded more than $4M to more than 50 projects. Current grantees represent multiple geographies, spanning from Latin America to Sub-Saharan Africa to Southeast Asia.
Last year, the fund received over 600 applications, reflecting a growing global interest in climate storytelling. With increasing demand, applicants are encouraged to submit strong, innovative proposals that highlight the urgency and importance of climate narratives.
Interested applicants can attend an information webinar on February 26 to learn more about the application process. The deadline to apply is March 10, 2025.
