Applications are now open for the Global Youth Summit 2025, set to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, from October 20 to 24, 2025. The summit, hosted by Global Changemakers in collaboration with ATKV, will bring together some of the world’s most dynamic young leaders for a fully funded, immersive experience in leadership, innovation, and global collaboration.
Founded with the mission to empower youth to build more just, fair, and sustainable communities, Global Changemakers has trained over 50,000 young people from more than 180 countries. Through its mentorship programs and grant funding. Often supported by partners such as the Shawn Mendes Foundation, the organization has helped implement over 500 youth-led projects reaching 16 million people globally.
Now in its 13th edition, the Global Youth Summit has become a leading platform for young changemakers aged 21 to 28 who are making a positive impact in their communities. This year’s event is expected to attract thousands of applications from around the world, all vying for a coveted spot among an elite cohort of youth leaders.
This years summit will focus on strengthening youth-led action across sectors such as climate justice, gender equality, education, health, and innovation for sustainable development
Participants selected for the summit will receive:
- Round-trip airfare
- Accommodation
- Meals for the duration of the summit
- Training in leadership and social impact
- Access to Global Changemakers’ international network of over 1,200 alumni
- Eligibility for exclusive grant funding for youth-led projects
The application process is open to English-speaking changemakers aged 21–28 living anywhere in the world. To apply, candidates must:
- Record a two-minute application video introducing themselves and the impact of their work.
- Pay the non-refundable application fee.
- Complete the written application form.
Only applicants who complete all three steps will be considered during the selection process.
Applications from international participants are open from April 1 to April 25, 2025, while South African applicants will have a separate application window from May 1 to May 25, 2025.
