Zimbabwean philanthropist and social impact advocate Tsitsi Masiyiwa has announced the official launch of her new book, And Still We Rise, scheduled for March 13, in what she describes as a deeply personal milestone centered on investing in human potential.
In a statement shared on her LinkedIn account ahead of the release, Masiyiwa said the project represents more than a literary achievement.
“The launch of And Still We Rise is more than a book release. It is a celebration of life-changing investment in human potential,” she said.
Co-edited with her daughter, Elizabeth Tanya Masiyiwa, the book brings together testimonies from young men and women whose lives were transformed through access to opportunity, mentorship, and support.
According to Masiyiwa, the stories highlight what can happen when determination is matched with belief and backing.
“This moment feels deeply personal. My heart is tender and incredibly excited,” she said, adding that each story reflects the power of investing in people rather than programmes alone.
The audiobook version of And Still We Rise will be available from February 28, ahead of the official launch event in March.
Masiyiwa noted that the contributors’ willingness to share their journeys stood out as one of the most moving aspects of the project.
“Their humility in sharing their stories has moved me profoundly,” she said. “Your courage to tell your story will inspire countless others to rise.”
Masiyiwa is widely recognised for her work in philanthropy, youth empowerment and education across Africa.
She serves on several global and regional boards and has been a consistent advocate for leadership development and community-driven impact.
Through her public engagements and initiatives, she has championed models of giving that prioritise sustainability, dignity, and local ownership.

Masiyiwa framed the book as evidence that sustainable philanthropy extends beyond financial support.
In her words, it is about walking alongside individuals and building networks that enable them to thrive.
“The lesson is clear: philanthropy multiplies its impact when it builds networks, empowers others and focuses on sustainability over visibility,” she said.
Proceeds from the book will be fully reinvested into social impact initiatives through the RemitHope platform.
RemitHope is a digital giving and crowdfunding platform designed to channel diaspora remittances and philanthropic contributions into community-driven development projects.
The platform seeks to leverage technology and trusted networks to support education, entrepreneurship and humanitarian causes across Africa.
By directing 100 percent of profits into RemitHope-backed initiatives, Masiyiwa says the book is intended to function not only as inspiration but as a practical vehicle for further impact.
She encouraged readers to support the initiative by purchasing or gifting copies, describing the book as a call to action for those who believe in nurturing a rising generation of leaders.
“Investing in human potential is the greatest return we can ever seek,” she said.
The launch of And Still We Rise comes at a time when conversations around African philanthropy are increasingly focused on sustainability, local ownership, and long-term empowerment rather than short-term relief.
For Masiyiwa, the book serves as both testimony and invitation, a reminder that when people are equipped and supported, the ripple effects can extend far beyond individual success stories.
With the March 13 launch approaching, supporters and readers are expected to gather to celebrate what Masiyiwa describes as proof that belief, opportunity, and partnership can unlock extraordinary transformation.
