GivingTuesday Uganda has been recognised as a valued partner by Rotary Uganda during the Rotary Uganda Corporate Partnership Appreciation Breakfast held on June 30 in Kampala.
The annual event brought together corporate organisations, development agencies and civil society partners to celebrate collaborations that have strengthened Rotary’s humanitarian work across Uganda.
Partners were recognised for supporting initiatives in healthcare, education, environmental conservation, water and sanitation, and community development.
GivingTuesday Uganda is the Ugandan chapter of the global GivingTuesday movement, which encourages generosity by inspiring individuals, organisations and businesses to give their time, skills, resources and voice to support communities.
The movement promotes year-round giving through volunteering, charitable donations and other acts of kindness that contribute to social change.
In a statement shared on its official social media platforms after the recognition, GivingTuesday Uganda said:
“This recognition celebrates the power of collaboration and shared commitment to building stronger communities. We remain committed to inspiring generosity, strengthening partnerships, and advancing lasting social impact across Uganda.”
The recognition comes as Rotary Uganda continues to strengthen partnerships with organisations that support its service projects across the country.
During the appreciation breakfast, Rotary leaders acknowledged the role of collaboration with the private sector, civil society and development partners in expanding the reach of programmes that improve lives and address community needs.
The annual appreciation event also provided an opportunity for Rotary Uganda and its partners to reaffirm their commitment to building sustainable partnerships that create lasting impact for communities across Uganda.
