Raising money is a key part of how nonprofit organisations are able to deliver their work, but it is rarely just about securing funding.
It also depends on how organisations build trust with supporters, manage relationships over time, and put in place systems that allow them to remain steady in changing funding environments.
Zviko Tsiga works in this space.
As Consulting Director at Revolutionise International, she supports organisations that are trying to improve how they raise funds and how they engage with donors and supporters in more consistent and practical ways.
She is among the speakers expected at the 10th East Africa Philanthropy Conference, scheduled for 16–20 June 2026 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
The conference will bring together practitioners, funders, and development leaders to reflect on how philanthropy is changing, including how organisations make funding decisions and what it takes to build more reliable support systems.
Revolutionise International is a fundraising consultancy that works with nonprofits and social impact organisations in different regions.
Its work focuses on training, advisory support, and practical tools that help organisations strengthen how they raise funds and manage relationships with supporters.
In her role, Tsiga is involved in delivering fundraising training and supporting organisations as they review and strengthen their internal systems.
A key part of this work is helping organisations think beyond short-term fundraising needs and focus more on building steady relationships with donors and partners.
Her earlier experience includes work with Friendship Bench Zimbabwe, where she supported fundraising and donor engagement during a period of growth.
She has also worked with IkamvaYouth in South Africa, where fundraising and partnership development formed part of her responsibilities.
Alongside these roles, she founded GetGiving Consulting, through which she has supported organisations in strengthening their fundraising approaches.
Across the sector, many organisations are operating in funding environments that are less predictable than before.
As a result, there is growing attention on how organisations build systems that can support long-term fundraising and maintain relationships that go beyond individual grants.
The 10th East Africa Philanthropy Conference will serve as a space for these discussions, bringing together people working in philanthropy and development to reflect on how funding systems are evolving and how organisations can respond in practical ways.
Tsiga’s experience connects to these conversations through her work supporting organisations to strengthen their fundraising practice and build more stable foundations for their work.
