International School of Kenya (ISK) unveils 2016 Scholarship Program

International School of Kenya, a private, non-profit co-educational day school in the outskirts of Nairobi announces its 2016 High School Scholarship Program.  The Program provides opportunities for low to middle income Kenyan students to participate in an academically rich and culturally diverse learning environment.

Scholarship applications are now being accepted for students entering Grade 9 or Grade 10 in August 2016. Applications are open only to Kenyan citizens with proven financial need and in order to qualify, applicants must be 14 years of age by September 2016. Applicants must have completed Primary School Education (Standard 8), have high academic achievement and sound leadership skills.  Applicants must also have the ability to live in Nairobi with family or legal guardians.

Students meeting the above criteria can download an application form from the ISK website, www.isk.ac.ke, and submit their applications by January 22, 2016.  Selection will be based on merit and proven financial need. Recipients of a full scholarship, valued at KShs 11 million (4 year scholarship), will be announced in April 2016.

The scholarship recipients are entitled to a 100% reduction in tuition & fees. In addition, the admission fee, bus fee, IB exam fees, and capital levy fee are fully covered by the scholarship. A student who has been awarded a scholarship will be entitled to receive it for the duration of his or her time at ISK provided the student remains in good standing, academically and socially.

The ISK High School Scholarship Program was first launched in 2012. The initial recipients are currently studying at universities overseas.
